POETRY

POETRY

Now I don't want to make an article that I will post here, but I want to share a poetry work that I made myself which tells of a prince from Java who led a guerrilla war in 1825-1830. A poem that I made specifically to commemorate his courage and resilience in leading and fighting for our rights and liberating us which inspired a combat strategy called "Guerrilla" and the title is The prince's elegance

The prince's elegance

On the land of Java
In the middle of his tones of romance

Tucked away a story

The story of the spirit defender patriot

This story begins when Bendara Antawirya was furious

Why is he angry?

His ancestral grave was contested by the Dutch
Installing a stake for the road
Plus people's lives are difficult due to forced cultivation
Add to the wrath of Antawirya when the Dutch began to enter the palace
The nobility is increasingly disappointed, his sovereignty is lost
The sovereignty was eroded by the Dutch

1825 that's the climax
Starting from the burning of Tegalrejo
Raged the greatest war of the 18th century
Led by a prince from the Yogya palace
Son of Hamengkubuwono III
The land of Java turned into a fierce battlefield
Between the Dutch against Bendana Antawirya
Selarong is the center

The whole army moved
The Netherlands is overwhelmed by this
He called for reinforcements
The fierce battle made the Dutch run out of cash
He successfully controlled almost the entire island of Java
The troops moved brilliantly
The Netherlands also gave up hope
But 1830 is the end of the story
Pasek marks the end of the story

Defeat came
The Dutch started to cheat
He offered a mere negotiation
Antawirya's motorbike came

However, De Kock was a barbaric act
Never tell the story
Elegance the prince
Ended in Magelang
And just finished at Fort Roterdam

Thank you prince
Your service is matchless
Hopefully we your children and grandchildren can inherit your passion
Because we know this struggle is not over
In guarding the country.

Thank you for the attention, I hope my work can usefull for the reader's and will be add to our sense of nationalism

Regards
